Michigan’s UP

The upper peninsula of Michigan during the summer is beautiful! Plenty of lakes and rivers, and of course Lake Superior.  I ventured up the Keneewa peninsula and learned about the copper mining. Camped outside of Houghton which is famous for starting professional Hockey. Then drove across to Marquette and took a boat out along the Pictured Rock National Shoreline. Beautiful colors from the copper and minerals in the rock. Then drove to Sault Ste Claire and crossed over the bridge into Canada.  I visited the locks on both sides of the border.
